BBO Events Refund Policy

1. Our Role as a Ticketing Platform
Welcome to BBO Events! Bizgital Asia Sdn. Bhd. ("BBO Events," "we," "us," or "our") operates as a ticketing platform and agent, selling tickets on behalf of Event Organisers ("EOs"). This Refund Policy outlines the general conditions under which refunds may be processed for tickets purchased through our Services.
Please note that while you purchase tickets via the BBO Events platform, the Event Organiser (EO) of the specific event is ultimately responsible for the event itself, including its content, quality, and any decisions regarding cancellations, postponements, or significant changes. Consequently, the EO's refund policy and decisions are paramount.
This Refund Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions.
2. When Are Refunds Typically Processed?
Refunds are primarily processed in the following situations, subject to the Event Organiser's policies:
Event Cancellation by the Event Organiser: If an EO cancels an event in its entirety, you will generally be eligible for a refund of the ticket's face value, as per the EO's refund process.
Significant Event Rescheduling by the Event Organiser: If an EO reschedules an event to a different date or time, and you are unable to attend the new date/time, the EO may offer refunds. Their specific policy will apply.
Significant Alteration of the Event by the Event Organiser: If an event is significantly altered by the EO (e.g., a change in headlining act for a concert, or a major change in venue to a different city), the EO may offer refunds.
3. Who is Responsible for Issuing Refunds?
The Event Organiser (EO): As BBO Events acts as an agent for EOs, the ultimate responsibility and authority for refund decisions, policies, and the provision of funds for refunds rest with the Event Organiser.
BBO Events will facilitate communication regarding the EO's refund process and, where authorised and funded by the EO, may assist in processing these refunds according to the EO's instructions.
Non-Refundable Fees: Unless otherwise stated by the Event Organiser or required by applicable law (e.g., the Consumer Protection Act 1999), BBO Events' booking fees, handling fees, transaction fees, and any delivery fees are generally non-refundable. These fees cover the cost of services already provided by BBO Events in facilitating the ticket purchase.
If the Event Organiser Fails to Provide Refunds: In the unfortunate event that an Event Organiser cancels an event and does not provide BBO Events with a clear mechanism, authorisation, or the necessary funds to process refunds on their behalf, or if the EO fails to respond to communications regarding refunds, BBO Events will have to direct affected Patrons to contact the Event Organiser directly to claim their refunds. We will provide available contact information for the EO for this purpose. BBO Events cannot be held responsible for issuing refunds if the EO does not fulfill their obligation to do so.
4. How to Request a Refund
Notification from BBO Events/EO: In the case of an event cancellation or significant change eligible for refunds, BBO Events (acting on information from the EO) or the EO directly will endeavor to notify ticket holders about the situation and the refund procedure. Please ensure your contact information in your BBO Events account is up to date.
Follow EO Instructions: The EO will specify the process for requesting a refund, including any deadlines and required information. You must follow these instructions carefully. Failure to request a refund within the EO's specified timeframe may result in you forfeiting your right to a refund.
Contact Point: Instructions will clarify whether refund requests should be directed to BBO Events (to facilitate with the EO) or directly to the Event Organiser.
5. What is Typically Refunded?
If a refund is approved by the Event Organiser, it typically covers the face value of the ticket(s) purchased.
As stated in Section 3, booking fees, handling fees, transaction fees, and delivery fees charged by BBO Events are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or explicitly covered by the EO's refund policy.
6. Circumstances Where Refunds Are Generally NOT Provided
Unless otherwise determined by the Event Organiser or required by applicable Malaysian law, refunds or exchanges are generally NOT offered in the following circumstances:
Change of Mind or Personal Circumstances: If you change your mind about attending or can no longer attend due to personal reasons (including illness, travel disruptions not caused by the EO, etc.).
Adverse Weather Conditions: If an event proceeds despite adverse weather conditions, unless the EO officially cancels or reschedules the event due to weather.
Lost, Stolen, Damaged, or Destroyed Tickets: Once tickets are delivered, responsibility for their care typically lies with the ticket holder. In rare cases, an EO might allow for a replacement ticket (potentially with an administration fee), but this is at their sole discretion and not guaranteed by BBO Events.
Failure to Attend an Event: If you do not attend an event for any reason.
Minor Event Changes: Minor changes to event programming, supporting acts, or event times that do not constitute a "significant alteration" as determined by the EO.
Refusal of Entry or Eviction: If you are refused entry to or evicted from an event due to a breach of the Event Organiser's or venue's terms and conditions (including misconduct).
If you purchased tickets from an unauthorised reseller or third party. Our refund policy only applies to tickets purchased directly through the BBO Events platform.
7. Refund Processing Time
If a refund is processed by BBO Events on behalf of and with funds from the Event Organiser, the funds will be returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Please allow approximately 15-30 business days for the refunded amount to appear in your account after the refund has been successfully processed by us. This timeframe can vary depending on the policies of your bank or payment provider. In some cases, especially if there are many refunds to process for a large event, it may take longer. We appreciate your patience.
8. Policy Changes
BBO Events reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting 1 the revised policy on our platform.
9. Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Malaysia.
